After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Ha Giang - a truly breathtaking province covering the most remote area of Vietnam. Visit Thon Tha Village or Ha Thanh Village when you arrive in Ha Giang. Take a soft trek to explore and learn about the local life of the Tay people.

Today, enjoy breakfast then transfer to Dong Van. Drive through Quan Ba skygate, take a picture, and have a panorama view of the town. Head to Lung Tam Valley, discover the beautiful architecture of the old houses of the Hmong (Pao’s house) and Lolo people before leaving for the Vuong’s Palace in Sa Phin Valley. Continue to Lung Cu Flag Point – a monument in Northern Vietnam. Transfer to Dong Van, you have time to relax and discover the ancient town and local market.

DAY 05: DONG VAN – BA BE (B/-/-)

Leave Dong Van behind, you will head to Ba Be. Don’t fall asleep because you never want to miss the Ma Phi Leng pass, one of the most beautiful passes in the North of Vietnam. Arrive in Ba Be National Park, to explore the Ba Be Lake, the largest natural lake in Vietnam, which is considered Halong Bay in the mountains, on a boat trip. Enjoy the serene view of the Tay community’s stilted homes and corn farm. Visit the Nung settlement and the Dau Dang waterfall on foot.

Depart Hue and travel southwards to Hoi An, stopping en route to unwind a top the breathtaking Pass of Ocean Clouds and visit the fascinating Cham Museum. In Hoi An we’ll be on foot to explore the charming and wonderfully preserved ancient quarter that retains Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and European influences from its old glory being a major seaport in Southeast Asia. In addition to the historic architecture, the area offers excellent shopping opportunities.

Travel back to Da Nang for a flight to to dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, which is still called Saigon by the locals. Tour Ben Thanh Market, where you can buy from souvenirs to exceptional local food. Later, head to the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral to learn about the history and exquisite architecture. Continue to the War Museum and the Reunification Palace and immerse in stories and collections of artifacts.

Travel to the Mekong Delta to take a boat ride and float down the Mekong River when you arrive in My Tho.
