The tour begins with a stop at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the final resting place of the revolutionary leader, overlooking Ba Dinh Square. Next to it is the Presidential Palace, a striking example of French colonial architecture painted in vibrant yellow. After the palace, you'll see the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, where students still come to and pray for academic success to this day.
Continue to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology in Cau Giay District, a vast complex showcasing Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups through traditional homes, ancient artifacts, and cultural exhibits. Then, return to the heart of Hanoi for a guided stroll through the Old Quarter, where an expert local guide will share insights into its nearly 2,000-year history.
No tour of the Old Quarter is complete without indulging in the famous street food culture. Beyond bún chả and bánh mì, you'll also try the iconic "egg coffee"—a rich blend of caffeine and dessert.
Overnight in Hanoi.
